I chose the imagery for this quilt square as a way to symbolize the vivid and enduring memories I have of Rene. I particularly remember him for his warmth, his vit5ality, his presence and attentiveness whenever we spoke; his dedication to the profession of art therapy; his connections to Jungian Psychology and to the spiritual dimension of life. I see the imagery as also symbolizing the dynamic, ever changing cycles of life with their ever present hope of renewal and rebirth.
